Product Features
- Constructed from white PTFE, this packing exhibits exceptional chemical resistance, making it suitable for use with a wide range of industrial media in demanding environments.
- With a precise square section of 0.39in×0.39in (10×10mm), it fits accurately into compatible equipment, guaranteeing optimal sealing performance.
- Each case contains 40 meters (131.23ft) of packing, offering a substantial quantity ideal for multiple sealing applications in industries like thermal power, chemical, and metallurgical.
- The net weight of 6.5kg (14.33lb) per case indicates the durability and density of the PTFE material, ensuring long-lasting sealing performance.
- Its white color allows for easy visual inspection, enabling quick identification of wear or damage in sealing applications.
- It is specifically designed for use in thermal power plants, chemical, metallurgical, steel, and coal mining industries, where reliable sealing with PTFE’s properties is essential.
Usage Instructions
- Ensure the equipment (valves, pumps, etc.) is shut down and isolated from all power sources before beginning the installation process.
- Remove the old packing (if present) and thoroughly clean the packing chamber to remove any debris, residue, or old sealing material.
- Cut the XHD PTFE packing to the required length, ensuring clean, square cuts for optimal sealing. Use appropriate tools to avoid fraying the PTFE material.
- Install the packing into the packing chamber, layer by layer, ensuring each layer is properly seated and aligned. For square section packing, ensure the corners fit snugly into the chamber.
- Adjust the packing gland to achieve the desired sealing tightness. PTFE packing requires careful adjustment to avoid over-tightening, which can lead to excessive friction or damage.
- After installation, conduct a leak test under operating conditions. Monitor the seal for any signs of leakage or abnormal operation. Adjust the gland as necessary during initial operation, taking care not to overtighten.
Applicable Scenarios
- Valves and Pumps in Thermal Power Plants Handling Various Fluids
- Chemical Processing Equipment with Corrosive Media
- Metallurgical and Steel Production Facilities Requiring PTFE Sealing
