Usage Method
- Identify the right-angle ball valve that requires lockout, ensuring it is compatible with the jaw locking height ≤1.10in (28mm).
- Attach the small baffle to the valve lock as needed, then position the valve lock’s jaw around the valve handle, ensuring a secure fit.
- Insert the 1.50in (38mm) steel padlock into the valve lock to secure it, preventing the valve from being operated.
- Attach the bilingual tag to the padlock or valve, clearly indicating the lockout status, personnel involved, and reason for lockout.
- Verify that the lockout is secure, the baffle is properly attached, and the tag is visible. When the work is completed and it is safe to remove the lockout, remove the tag, padlock, and valve lock in sequence, and detach the baffle if necessary.
