Product Description
The DUUKE P Series Plastic Safety Padlock P11 is a specialized lock designed for lockout/tagout (LOTO) applications. Featuring a yellow color for high visibility and a keyed different system, it is constructed from reinforced nylon and hardened chrome-plated steel, making it suitable for use in industrial, electrical, and maintenance settings to ensure equipment is safely locked out during servicing or maintenance.
Usage Instructions
- Insert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it clockwise to unlock the padlock.
- Open the shackle and secure it to the energy-isolating device (e.g., an electrical switch, valve, or machine). Ensure the shackle is fully engaged.
- Close the shackle and turn the key counterclockwise to lock the padlock. Remove the key only when the lock is in the closed state.
- To unlock, insert the correct key and follow step 1. Remember, the key cannot be removed when the lock is open, ensuring it is not left behind.
Product Characteristics
The padlock features a hardened chrome-plated steel shackle (diameter 0.24 inch/6mm, height 1.5 inch/38mm) and a reinforced nylon lock body (height 1.77 inch/45mm, width 1.57 inch/40mm), providing excellent durability and resistance to physical damage. The keyed different system with color-coded locks for different departments helps in clear access control. The key retention feature ensures the lock is always in a secure state when not in use. The insulated design makes it safe for electrical lockout applications, and it meets OSHA standards for LOTO procedures.
Application Scenarios
- Electrical Facilities: For locking out electrical panels, switches, and equipment during maintenance or repair.
- Industrial Plants: For implementing LOTO procedures on production lines, especially for power switches and gas source switches.
- Maintenance Workshops: For securing pipeline valves and equipment requiring prominent warning.
- Any Environment Requiring Lockout/Tagout: Where safety isolation of equipment and access control are necessary to prevent accidental operation.
